In The Dark

The stars are out...
Twinkling in heavens vault...

Standing in the moonlight,
Is my favorite guy....

Arms stretched wide, they pull
Me closer into his warm embrace....

With Subtle moves, I am twirling
In the darkness....

Feet barely touching the ground,
As we spin the night away....

The graceful swing
Of your arms leaves me
Breathless....

You taught me discipline,
You taught me grace,
You taught me patience,
But I taught myself how to trust.....

This night could last forever,
I do not want it to end...

As we break apart
My stomach drops....

Suddenly there is a
Cold, harsh, bone-chilling
Wind,
Invading the air,
But a sneaky kiss,
Restores my faith
As I follow you into the
dark......
